July 3rd was a bittersweet day. The sweet part was that Travis and I went to the doctors to get an ultrasound done. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat. We were not expecting to hear the hearbeat yet. We thought we would see the heartbeat on the monitor but not hear it yet. It was a relief to hear the heartbeat though. The night before I could not sleep. I was worried about what the ultrasound would show since I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy. So I was very thankful for hearing a healthy heartbeat. They had to change my expected delievery date to February 16th. So the ultrasound visit went well and they said they will see me again at 12 weeks for another ultrasound.
The bitter part was that when I got back to the house my dad had to go to the hospital. So I drove him to the hospital for him to get a brain scan. His doctors from the base thought that there could be blood going to his brain. So they wanted to get a brain scan done so they could check it. Luckly there is no blood in his brain. He was having signs of mini strokes so they admitted him into the hospital. So I spent all day with him in the hospital. It was hard seeing him in pain.
