So since we were going to California we decided to meet up with our cousins and Aunt and Uncle before going to Disneyland. We left from our house at 11am to meet at the airport at 1pm. We found our way to the parking garage and was so glad to see that they had an early check in for our luggage at the garage. It would of been a pain to try to take all our luggage along with carrying Alayna's car seat through the tram and to the airport. We made it there before everyone else and decided we would just meet them inside the airport. We waited for a bit and I took Alayna out to walk around so hopefully she would be tired and fall asleep on the plane. We decided to go through security ahead of the rest of the family because we didn't know how long it would take to get through and doing it all with 2 little ones. We actually went through security pretty quickly and everything went smooth. Then the security person took out our kids water bottles..whoops...we forgot to dump the water before going through. They said since we have a one year old that they could just do a vapor test on it. So I had to follow the lady to this table and have her perform a vapor test on both water bottles. All was fine (of course) and we headed to our gate.
We were all getting hungry now since we ate breakfast early and it was now after 1pm. Travis and Carson went to look for food while Alayna and I stayed behind to save some seats. There was only one restaurant after we passed security and it was expesive! Should have ate before going through security. While Travis was getting our food the rest of the family showed up. They all went to grab some food too. After eating we still had a little bit before board. Our plane was a little delayed. The kids all were looking out the window and watching planes land and take off. It was going to be Alaynas first time flying and Carsons second time (although when he flew he was a baby). Was hoping they both would do ok on the plane.
The plane arrived and we had boarding group A (the very end) and everyone else had boarding group B (the beginning). We were sad that they don't do preboarding with families like they use to. It is now preboarding after A group for families with a child under the age of 5. We found seats and saved seats for our family. Carson sat by the window and next to Daddy and Gpa. Alayna sat in her carseat in the middle and I sat next to her. We had no one sit next to her by the window (yay!). My mom sat behind us with one of my nieces. My sister sat in front of us with her son. My brother and my other niece sat in front of Carson. Our kids did great on the flight. Alayna was making noises like the plane when it takes off and Carson thought it was like an amusement park ride. He loved the taking off and landing. Alayna didn't take a nap like I had hope but she did pretty ok, she got a little fussy towards the end but not much. It's a good thing it was a short flight though.
